Field Trip Correction

I’m going to talk about my last field trip. It was the 3rh. 4rh. 5rh of October, we went to Alhué, with the Teacher Rodrigo Vargas the name of the subject is “Gestion Integrada de Cuencas”, a very good name. We went on Friday at 10.00 o’clock, in a little bus. When we arrived, we went to see the place, specially the river. The place is very beautiful, I liked very much. In my group, called Fisiosfera, we took measurement to the Chemical Properties of the river, like conductivity, temperature, pH, etc. When we went to take measurement and I fell into the river and that’s hurt me a little. The worst think it’s that I’m still sick. Returning with the history again, we had to find places with similar characteristics on different parts of the river. The first night we ate noodles with salsa of course, that was very good. The last night we ate barbecue, with meat, chorizos, salad, pig, and we drank soda. The boys wanted to return fast, because Chile played with Ecuador, and they wanted to see the game. The other people and I wanted to return because we were very tired, and some of them had class at Monday. I think it was a very good field trip, because I learned and I laughted very much.

Country

I would like to visit Africa, because I think is a very interesting country, is the first country with ancient human presence (4 millions years ago), so have a lot of history starting with Egypt, the pyramids and the Empires. I would like to meet the tribes and the Sahara Desert. Definitely I would like to do something like “The Sahara Route”, a program of TVN, but travel around all Africa.


I will like to go with my family and my boyfriend, I think I have to go with people that want to meet this place and people that want to know more about the history and my family are the right people.

The first thing that I will do its ride a camel, I will love make that, I think is amazing. After that I will go to the pyramids and meet the tomb of Tutankamon. After that I will go to Sahara desert and have a hot day jajaja. Finally I will go to meet the tribes and know how they live, thought that give me some scared because they are primitive and we have a different culture, they speak other language, so I will have to go with a guide or somebody that can understand their native language.

My favourite Photo

I love this photo because you can said “ohhh they look like each other, is amazing”, and, for other part, they there are two very important people in my life, my brother Guillermo and my niece Helena (she has only 1 years old). Well, the photo shows how much they looks like each other, for example, they have the same mouth, the same nose, and the same forehead.
On that photo there are two photos and I put on one photo (in paint), to make the comparison, and send to Guillermo and Roma (Helena’s Mother, and my brother’s partner)
My mother took both photos. This day we were on my brother’s house, made a barbecue. My brother made the salad, and my mother took the photo, and after that my mother took the other photo to Helena. The amazing is that they put the same face.
All the people say that Helena looks like my brother, but they haven’t the same eyes, she is more “Chinese”.
Helena It’s the first niece, the first daughter and the first granddaughter, so she is the favourite on both families. It brings joy to my home. It’s very beautiful and cool have a niece, because you can spoil her with all the freedom in the world.

Field Trip

Pablo, when I have to correct the post that you corrected me, was very good for me to understand the “yours” because I put that word always. Now, I understand that there is other words like their for example. And I make mistakes because I’m hasty and I write fast and I don’t read after write.
Finally I want to said that is very good the way that you correct because, there are mistakes very difficult to find, like punctuation, order, etc.

My favourite piece of technology

All the time we are in contact with the technology, always on the TV show new piece of technology, like pendrives, MP3, MP4, IPod, etc. But the technology that i prefer is the notebook. I remembered the first time i saw a notebook, i was in my house and my father was sick, so his boss gave him a notebook to work on the house. In this time i was 7 years old, and my father show me this beautiful piece of technology and i liked very much, i don’t know why but i love it. Since this time i dream with have a notebook and i can buy one the last year and was very exciting.
I think that is the best constructions, because you can go to all parts with him and bring them on my bag. I have one in my house and i used all the time, for made works to the university, to chat with my friends, to found information’s, to placed, etc. I like this piece of technology because in the winter i can make works in my bed without problems.
My life without the notebook will be the same, because this technology is not a necessity for me, only give me a pleasure. I was all my life without a notebook. Why would be a necessity now?.

My film

Really i don’t have one favourite film, i like La Novicia Revelde, Quédate a mi Lado, La Verdad acerca de Gatos y Perros, The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars; but i’m going to talk about Quédate a mi Lado. This movie i saw went i had 15 years old, i was with a friend called Katherine in your house and his father bought one day and in the night we saw, we made popcorn and we drank soda. Since this moment i liked very much.

This movie is about a woman called Jackie (Susan Sarandon) who has 2 child, Anna (she had 13 years old) and a boy called Ben (he had 7 or 8 years old). Jackie was separateds of this hundsband and he has another woman called Isabel (Julia Roberts). Jackie hate Isabel and Jackie don’t want that Isabel stayed with your Childs. One day Jackie gave Isabel the oportunity to take care the childs but Isabel (she is photographer) was only worried about his job.
Time after Jackie go to the doctor and detected cancer. In this moment Jackie change the way to see the things especially for yours childrens ….Well, the other i prefer don’t explain. Please see it because is very good and beautiful.

Acupuncture Helps women have babies

The acupuncture helps woman's that are with treatment for fertility to have a baby. Studies of Southampton University and the city's princess and hospital have demonstrated that acupuncture on the time of embryo transfer increased the live birth to 22 percent without acupuncture for 35 percent with acupuncture.

The woman's have more possibilities to be mother if they use the acupuncture us a complement. Susan Seenan, of infertility network UK, said that anything that helps for through infertility treatment is good news.

It would be great, because the acupuncture is natural Chinese medicine, so don't have secondary effects and help for the spirit and the heal.

What do Fiestas Patrias mean to you?
Fiestas Patrias are a moment for sharing with my family and my friends. We always do funny things, we go to fondas and drink chicha of Curacaví jajajaja and of course the unmissable barbecue.

What a typical Chileans do?
I think that a typical Chileans go to fondas, eat anticuchos, choripanes. Some people go to a park and make a barbecue and their children fly a kite, or other people make a fonda in their house and invite their parents, their friends and all the people that they want. Some people go to the beach or the countryside to rest. All that activities depend of the family and the ties with the Fiestas Patrias.

What I did as a child?
Uff when I was a child I went to Melipilla and celebrated with all my family. I have 12 uncles, and 30 cousins. On September 18, we stayed on my grandmother's house, we made a barbecue with Chilean salad, we bought empanadas, and we played pinpon and fly a kite. On September 19, we went to my uncle's house in Melipilla of course and we made the same but they had a swimming pool, so we swam there and played all the time.

What do you do nowadays?
Now I stay in Santiago and go to a fonda. But the last fonda that I went, was horrible. Now I hope that this fonda will be better. For other part I will make a barbecue with my family on my brother's house, and I want to go to Lo cañas and celebrate with my boyfriend, and his family.

Which was your favourite 18 and why?
My favourites 18, I was a child, I liked very much shared with all my family. I played with my cousins and l laughed very much. The other 18 that I enjoyed was on 2002, with my school friend's went to the National Stadium Fonda, and drank chicha, and the chicha was bad because after we drank, we had stomach ache but apart from this event I laughed very much, I remembered that was really fun.

In five years......

Well, in five years, professionally, I will like be working in some projects of energy efficiency or any organism that do innovations projects. I like the new things and I like very much the innovations. If I in Santiago I will like work for care the environments and if I working out of my country I will like be working on investigation. Really I prefer be working in Santiago and maybe I could do both things. Personally i would like to have a baby, because I want to be mother relatively young, I always think in 25 or 26 years old. I hope be living alone in a house or apartment (not so small), really I prefer a house, because I will to have more space and garden (for put many plants), and my baby could play more free. I will like very much have my mother and my brother near and we could launch together and see us all or many weekends. Well I think is a normal and quite life, just like me jajajaja.

My English Experience

Really I don`t remember my first class in English, but I`m going to talk about the first class that I remember, of course. I was on American British School in primary school, and my first teacher was very good, I always had the best marks, but one day a girl call Paloma (she was the teacher`s daughter) so she start to had the best marks. After that, my mom changed me to another school call Santa María de Lo Cañas, and there, had a teacher amazing she was very good. When I was 13 years old I was French, in the school, and the teacher was very bad, so my experience with another language was horrible, I had very bad marks. I don`t know if im successful or unsuccessful, but I think that I can understand people that talk this language and I can write for the people understand me. I think that a successful person can talk without problems and all the people can understand them. I think that im a starter learner, because there are many think that I don`t know. I think that talk English is very easy because you can improvise with pronunciation and its more easy express myself. And I find difficult the grammar, because you have to learn all the verbs in past, and the present, and the other difficult for me is the vocabulary, because in my school I didn`t use much word so its hard for me the translate for example. The English culture is very respectable but I love the Chilean culture, I think we have a spark that English culture doesn`t have. I don`t have a friend that was England, but I know people that talk English very good, for example the husband of a friend, he talk very good because his father was England and he learn him. The English is very useful for me, because in my career all the documents or papers (the bibliography) are in English, so I have to translate and I need understand very well the ideas.

Summary....."Deserts cities are living on borrowed time, UN warns

The people that are living on the desert cities have a life more unbearable by the high temperatures and the salinization of the water, says the UN.

For the increase of the temperatures and less rainfall the deserts move closer to communities that leave on the periphery, less land to cultivate, and lost of wild species.

The report suggest that the deserts become to energy powerhouse (capturing the solar energy and export electicity to all world). But the problem is the salinitation, because the water is undrinkable, and there isn’t water for crops. For other part, the incease of the temperatures complicate the melting of glaciers and there is more water evaporation, hence the water will drying up.

Finally the reports envisages that the deserts become to touris attraction and some plants that will grow there could be the “crops of the future”.

My Life

Hello my name is Natalia i have 21 years old, i have a brother, his name is Guillermo, he study Geology and he live in the center of Santiago with her girlfriend and her daughter call Helena, she is 9 month and ahe is very very beautiful. I live only with my beautiful mother call Cecy.
I always lived in La Florida, I like very much, is very quiet. My friends live very near so, its very good.
In my short life I have many hobbies, first I collected ¨esquelas¨ (are papers with colours, figures and some times with smell) after I collected keychains, I was 2 years collected, my friends and my family gave me. Afer that I collected bus ticket of course before Transantiago becacuse the ticket have different figures, there are beautiful. Finally born in me a love for the Teathre so, I enter to a summer workshop in the University of Chile and was there all the summer, I always was teathre plays. Now I don´t have a defined hobbie but I like go to the cinema, and walk for the city know new places.
Well now im study Geography and every year I like more I think that I find my area into geography so I feel very quiet and happy.

My Blogging Experience

When the teacher Simon said us that we will have to make a blog, I think oh my god, how boring, but with time I started to like the blog and the posts that we had to do. So, I think that the blog it’s a different way to learn English and of course the grammar and more things.
I don’t have a special thing that I didn’t like, only one blog that I hate, it was the my favorite idol, because this day I enter to the class at 15.30 hrs so, I don’t had time to think in my favorite idol and my beautiful friend Catalina told that I write about Don Francis and I did it, but I don’t like don’t Francis and never would be my idol ever in the life. But the post that I loved was the “My favorite song”, because I remembered beautiful things about my past and how I laft with the song and my friend and his family.

Well with this blog I learn very much vocabulary, because in the other classes i don’t learn words to spell, and I learn grammar like the past of the verbs and things like that.
Really I thing that there isn’t best post, because is about our experience, but the post that I laft very much was the Marilyn Monroe of Maira, in my opinion, is like a dream be with her (Marilyn) i will like be there in this meeting.
Now the blog that I like very much it’s Javiera, i like the colors that she use, the green with the black, (I like the picture of Johnny Deep of course). I think that her blog is very happy and very beautiful, she doesn’t have ugly pictures, I like the font, I don’t know I think is harmonic.

Why? Why?

Well I’m studying Geography because there was the only career that I can study, I had the score, and I liked the subject. When I was in 4° medio I want to study Theatre and I don’t had other career in my mind, then I made the special quiz and I not was selected. So, I had to think what career I want study and my brother told me that there was a career called Geography and was very interesting, so, I saw the subject and made the postulation, and now I’m here made this work. Now that I’m studying these, my favourite subject was Geomorphology, because I understood thinks that always asked me.

In ten years I will like stay out of Santiago, in other city of Chile work in a beautiful environmental project. I think that Geographers can make many thinks because have creative’s ideas and have the tools to help save the planet, I think that with a group of professionals including the geographer could be makes things and projects really goods.

I think that the Geographer doesn’t need more technological tools, because we can do it with the tools that have now. The geographer has the ideas, the creative, things that stay in our minds, not in materials thing. Obviously that needs things like maps, satellites photography’s, etc. but there are things that we have now.

Don Francis

My idol is Don Francisco, I think that is a person who fight to be in the TV. His name is Mario Kreutzberger, he make Sabado Gigante, is a program really famous in 44 on the world. He created the Teleton in Chile, and his word is admirable, I want to meet him because he has a big heart. I would like to talk him about his work in the Teleton and why he wants to do something so good and beautiful for disable persons, I want to know his motivation for help this people. I would like to go with Don Francisco to Valparaiso and drink coffee and of course with a cigarette on the beach and talk to him, know about his life in Chile and Miami. I would like very much participate in the Teleton and made that all the people in Chile help with this beautiful initiative

I never heard about this web page (BBC) and i liked very much because have many thing and ways to learn English, for example, you can complete songs of your favorite singer or you can download conversations for learn pronunciation. You can learn grammar and vocabulary but it’s really fun because you play all the time.
I liked very much the crossword and the wordmaster, but I think that the crossword is a little difficult; you have to know about vocabulary to do it. But the wordmaster, it’s cool, because you have to discover the word and you have to do it on 60 seconds. You have three levels (easy, medium and difficult).
You can visit BBC of other place in the world, like china, Spain, etc. I think the BBC is very complete you can read the news, the weather, sport and many other thinks.

My favorite song

Well my favorite song since i was more little its “Fast Car” of Tracy Chapman, i heard this song in the house of a friend, we was with all his family, the mother, father, sister and his brother. We were singing karaoke, this day was very funny. I like very much because in the house of my friend (Katalina) we sing all the time and we joke with the song, because there is a part of the song that said “I could be someone, be someone, be someone” and we think that said “pilsen won”. I have only happy moments with this song i love it. The style of Tracy Chapman is folk, and he has a voice very particular and interesting because not all the people or singers have it. I always remember my friend with this song and i laugh very much when i heard. Please listen because is very good!!!

Review and correct a Post

Once twice Y am in the lake of riñihue, this place is a very very beatiful, because the natural landscape is practicly a virgin. this place is a ubicated in the X region of the chile, my family and my enjoy very much in this summer. the comunication whit my family were really good, never was a fight in all the travel.In Chile (my contry) this place whit this feature the are common. in all the regions you can visit place whit this feature.In the X region of chile you can see much animal diferrent such as Cob, diferents fish and birts, about the rivers it are a biggets, and your are water it a fast - floowing.Y recomend that you visit muy conutry, in special The X region. they are lake, river and landscape is a really fabulous.

Once I was in Riñihue Lake, this place is very very beautiful, because the natural landscape is practically virgin. This place is located in X region of Chile, my family and I enjoy very much in this summer. The communication with my family was really good; we never had a fight in the whole trip. In Chile (my country) this place has common features, in many regions you can visit places with this features. In this region you can see different animals like cows, many fishes and birds. In this place, the rivers are very big and the water slips very fast. I recommend this place and all the X region, because have lake, rivers and landscape is really fabulous.

review and correct

I’m going to write about pancho blog.
I like very much the background because make contrast whit almost colours of the letters, but I don’t like this colour of the letters (white). I think is a little boring and sad. In this case the blog don’t have pictures and I hate that. I like the distribution of the blog and I think it’s nice his profile. Finally I like the nicknames that he put for his links, for example Natula or Maxopaipilla, etc. I think he is very joker and have too much water.

Chileee

This summer i went to the region of Maule. There, I went to Huenchullami river, Maule river, Cable Beach, Putú (this is a town a little small, but very beautiful) and “Rancho Astillero” and Vichuquen Lake. I went with my boyfriend and two friends called Nathalie and Alejandro. I stayed 10 days. The first day I went to Vichuquen Lake, the road was very bad, but we arrived without problems. The lake was very beautiful, there were many yachts and boats, i stayed there for two days in a camping. After that I went to Huenchullami River and I went on a rowing boat with my boyfriend. Then, we went to Putú and ate very much. After that I went to Maule River and navigated it until we reached Rancho Astillero, and ate Lisa, this is a fish really tasty. Finally I went to the beach, but I don’t liked much because the sea was angry. I hope go back the other summer.
